BIRTH MOM MINISTRY
Although our main ministry focus is to find safe, stable and loving homes for every child, we also care about their biological families. We have a ministry that cares for birth moms - helping them physically, emotionally and spiritually heal during and after the adoption process.
Birth Mother Support
There are many ways we support the birth mothers that we work with to help them process the grief that placing a child for adoption brings. Our hope is that each birth mother we work with knows the transforming love of Jesus Christ and that gives her hope for the future. Below are a few of the ways we provide support to encourage healing and hope.
Support Groups
We have recently launched monthly virtual support groups available for all birth mothers - whether they placed their child for adoption last month or 20 years ago.
Birth Mother Retreat
Each year we host a birth mothers' retreat open to all women who have placed their child for adoption with our agency. This is a time of emotional and spiritual healing and encouragement.
The Emmanuel Home (coming in 2022) will provide birth mothers additional support and a safe, stable place to live post-placement. Click here to learn more about this project.
Counseling
We recognize the grief that comes with making an adoption plan for your child, so we offer post-placement counseling to all birth mothers that we work with to help them process through all the emotions that come with adoption.
